The built in iPod player on your iPhone or iPod Touch is not designed to play podcasts as quick as possible. With Freshpod, your podcasts are displayed in order of Freshness. Freshpod knows which podcasts are new, and displays those first. And, once you've started playing a list of podcasts, they will continue to play in the background once Freshpod is closed, or you lock your iPhone or iPod touch.
